Hindi is our national language and as such the Department makes efforts to enhance its importance. The subject is taught at F. Y. B. Com. also. The post graduate Department was started in 1992 and the results at both the levels have been quite encouraging.
Scope & Importance:
Since it is a national language all the public examination can be taken in Hindi medium. as a result many talented students get success in these examinations. If Hindi had not been introduced as an alternative to English many of these students would not have got the opportunity that they otherwise deserve. Many nationalized banks use Hindi as well as English to carry out their administrative work. For this purpose all the nationalized banks appoints translators who know English as well as Hindi. As such there is a lot of scope for translators in various sectors.
The Department insists on very high quality as a result of which 11 students have passed NET/ JRF, SET exam from 2005- 10. Many students have completed their research for M. Phil and Ph. D. 6 students of the Department are Asst. Professors
