Nursery Management

The Department of Botany runs one month course in Nursery Development. The college has Botanical Garden which use for conducting the course. The students are taught some basic things about the development of a nursery. These are filling the earthen pot with farm yard manure, Soil and Humus, Horticulture practices such as layering, grafting, budding, cutting etc.

29 Students from S. Y. B.Sc. (Botany) have been admitted to the current batch, but the department intends to include students from other faculties also.

The seedlings prepared in this way are sold. The students who have completed this course will be issued a certificate. The can develop their own nursery, the can also find jobs in government as well as private nurseries according to the feedback that will be received in future.
