K. J. Somaiya College of Arts, Commerce and Science was founded by Late. MLA Shri. K. B. Rohamare in 1964, with a vision to provide modern education to the youth of Kopargaon at affordable cost for their all-round development. Since then it is our vision to empower the students through modern learning techniques. We believe that education plays vital role in developing a nation culturally, economically and socially. So, we have tried our level best to give modern education to the rural youth of Kopargaon vicinity.

I am very proud to say that NAAC, Bangalore has re-accredited our college with 'A' grade and we have also gone through ISO 9001:2015 certification. We have not only excelled in quality but also in quantity. The college today is imparting quality education to nearly about 5000 students with undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in Arts, Commerce, Science, Computer application, Computer Science and career oriented courses to the rural Masses.
